Adding Horizontal and Vertical Lines

Click and hold on the Marquee tool in the Tool bar and select “Single Row Marquee Tool.” Before using the tool, manually add a new layer by selecting “Layer” – “New” – “Layer” and name the layer “Horizontal Line.” Place the marquee tool anywhere on the horizontal guide that lines up with your 100 pixel mark and click. You should see the “marching ants” or dashed line running along the guide.
